Bronchiectasis Heroes Contest

As part of WBC 2026, we’re bringing an exciting new interactive competition to the programme – the Bronchiectasis Heroes Contest.

This bold new addition to the conference invites interdisciplinary teams from across the world to compete in a dynamic, quiz-based challenge designed to test knowledge, spark collaboration, and celebrate excellence in bronchiectasis care and research.

Think “Medical Jeopardy” for the WBC community!

THE CONCEPT:

Teams made up of our global attendees (with at least two different professional backgrounds represented) will go head-to-head in a live contest – to be crowned this year’s Bronchiectasis Heroes.


WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • A fun, competitive, interactive quiz format
  • Questions focused on bronchiectasis and the wider pulmonology field
  • Clinical imagery and real-world case-study analysis
  • Multiple-choice and problem-solving challenges
  • A lively, engaging session designed to bring the community together

WHO CAN TAKE PART:
  • Teams from centres around the world, bringing together different disciplines (e.g. clinicians, researchers, physiotherapists, nurses)
  • Collaboration is key – this is about combining expertise and perspectives

HOW TO JOIN IN THE FUN:
  • To participate you must be registered to attend the conference
  • Create an account or login to your registration account
  • In your dashboard look for the ‘Bronchiectasis Heroes Contest’ icon

  • In the application form, you will be asked some short questions including your team name and team members
