World Bronchiectasis Conference – Hygiene Advice

We believe that meaningful connections are important, but it’s essential, especially for patients, to understand that gathering in-person implies some risks. When people come together, transmission of relevant pathogens, subsequently leading to infection, is actually possible.

Each individual is encouraged to thoughtfully assess their own health situation and the benefits of attending, keeping in mind both their personal well-being and that of others. By registering for the event and accepting to be present on-site, you are doing so with an understanding of these risks.

To reduce that risk, we kindly ask you to follow some simple hygiene guidelines/

  • Please do not attend if you are sick or feeling unwell
  • Wearing a mask can help reduce the spread of infections.
  • Say hello without physical contact if possible.
Shaking hands, kissing and embracing may be social habits, but do not hesitate to avoid them politely
  • Clean your hands regularly (especially after touching surfaces or coughing / sneezing in your hand. Hand sanitisers will be available in the conference centre.
  • Avoid sharing personal items
The organisers will provide everything you need
  • Try to keep some distance from others,
especially if you are coughing or feel unwell.

Thank you for helping the bronchiectasis community to maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

Good news – the early-bird deadline has been extended to 27 April 2026. Don’t miss out, register today and secure your ticket!
