REGISTRATION DESK

The registration desk will open on Wednesday, 3rd  July, 2024, from 16.00 and the schedule is the following:

  • Wednesday, 3rd  July from 16.00 to 19.00: attendees who have booked the Labs Visit (4th of July morning) are kindly invited to collect their conference materials on this time slot
  • Thursday, 4th of July  from 08.00 to 18.00 (end of the scientific sessions)
  • Friday, 5th of July from 08.00 to 17.30 (end of the scientific sessions)
  • Saturday, 6th of July from 08.00 to 16.30 (end of the conference)

EXHIBITION SET UP & OPENING HOURS

The setup and dismantling of the exhibition area is accessible only to sponsors who booked an exhibition booth.

  • SET UP TIME: Wednesday, 3rd  July from 08.00 to 14.00
  • DISMANTLING TIME: Saturday, 6th of July from 17.00 to 19.00

The exhibition area will be open following Registration desk opening hours.

CONFERENCE AREAS

The 7th World Bronchiectasis Conference will be held at the:

  • University of Dundee – Dalhousie Building (Old Hawkhill, Dundee DD1 5EN, UK)

The Labs Visit on 4th July, 2024 morning take place at the Ninewells Hospital. Information about the meeting point for each Round are available at the Registration desk from 3rd July, 2024 starting from 16.00.

ADMISSION

The participant’s name badges will be provided by the Organising Secretariat at the Secretariat Desk.

All participants are requested to wear the badge throughout the congress. Only badge holders will be admitted to the appropriate sessions, exhibition, and social events.

WBC 2024 hosts an Association and Patient Village, in a dedicated area of the Dalhousie Building Ground Floor (please refer to the WBC map here attached). Individuals registered as patients can access the APV areas only.

ATTENDANCE CHECKS

Effective attendance is checked through badge scanning when going in and coming out of the plenary room. A minimum of 6 hours of effective attendance is required to issue the certificate of attendance.

BREASTFEEDING PROVISIONS

Breastfeeding mothers are permitted to bring their babies up to the age of 6 months into the Congress centre and within scientific sessions. Additionally, there are breast feeding rooms for privacy available in the Congress centre.

Note: We do ask that parents with babies are considerate of other delegates and, should babies become upset during presentations, aim to leave the session room as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to others. Hostesses onsite may ask anyone causing a prolonged disruption to leave sessions.

If you are bringing an infant, please make yourself known at the pre-registration desk on arrival so that a few additional security details can be taken.

CAR PARKING

Participants can access to the Dalhousie Building car park (70 spaces avaliable).   Those parking their cars can use the Ringo App to purchase a Visitors Parking Permit using the code 62652 – cost £ 5 per day.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

The certificate of attendance will be downloadable from the website

7th World Bronchiectasis Conference – Dundee, Scotland – 4/6 July 2024 (world-bronchiectasis-conference.org) using your personal credentials sent by e-mail, starting from 10th July, 2024.

Important note: Certificate of attendance will be delivered only to registered participants who attend at least 6 hours of congress sessions.

CLOAKROOM

A cloakroom is at the disposal of participants at the Congress Venue. Delegates are kindly requested not to leave their personal belongings after closing times of the registration desk.

CME ACCREDITATION

EUROPEAN CME ACCREDITATION

We are pleased to inform that the 7th World Bronchiectasis Conference, Dundee, United Kingdom 04/07/2024 – 06/07/2024 has been granted 17.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).

Following EBAP’s evaluation, the above-mentioned CME activity has been accredited by EBAP for a total of 17,5 CME credits. EBAP reviewers have awarded the Mark of Excellence (MOE) for this activity which is worth an extra 3 CME credits. An MOE is given to activities with exceptionally high quality and standards

CPD APPROVAL

The 7th World Bronchiectasis Conference has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 18 category 1 (external) CPD credit(s) with the CPD code: 148337.

CURRENCY

All costs are in Pound Sterling (GBP).

DRESS CODE

Dress will be informal throughout the Congress. The Organising Secretariat reserves the right to refuse access when deemed necessary for the comfort and safety of all delegates.

INSURANCE

The Congress Organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to Congress participants, either during or because of the Congress. Registration does not include insurance. It is strongly recommended that you take an insurance policy of your choice as you register for the

Congress and book your travel.

LANGUAGE

The official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation is provided.

MEALS

Lunch on Friday 5th July and Saturday 6th July will be served to the participants throughout the several Refreshment areas around the Conference Venue.
