Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk
V&A Dundee

A major new exhibition, Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk, opens on Saturday 4th May at V&A Dundee exploring the fascinating story of the style, appeal and influence of the kimono. The kimono is presented as a dynamic, ever-evolving icon of fashion – rare 17th and 18th century kimono are displayed alongside modern designs from Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, and Alexander McQueen. The kimono’s recent reinvention on the streets of Japan is also explored through work by a new wave of contemporary designers and stylists.

Dundee Food Festival

We are thrilled to announce the Dundee Food Festival will be taking place in Dundee during the conference!

Get ready for the 2-day, city-wide festival on the 6th and 7th July! This summer, Dundee will transform into a food and drink haven, showcasing the best of the city’s vibrant food scene with delicious fun for all. Immerse yourself in events at iconic locations such as Slessor Gardens, V&A Dundee, Discovery Point and much more!

The festival hub located in City Square will be buzzing with food stalls, street performers, live music, eco-friendly markets, festival bar and even chefs on stilts – guaranteed fun for all ages! We invite you to eat, drink, play, and think as you explore the wonders of Dundee’s culinary offerings.

Dundee’s Open Top Bus

From the open top deck, visitors will have a unique view of all the city’s must-see landmarks and attractions, whilst learning about the story of Dundee. The full journey lasts up to 50 minutes, but you can hop on and off along the way to Xplore Dundee at your own pace.
