REGISTRATION DESK

14 July: Brisbane, University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus, Advanced Engineering Building (Building 49)

  • Day 1: the registration desk will open on Monday, 14th of July from 11:00am till the end of the Welcome Ceremony.

15 – 17 July: Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC)
Day 2 to 4: The registration will desk will open and close with the following schedules:

  • Tuesday, 15th of July from 7.30am to 7.30pm (end of the Strolling Poster Session)
  • Wednesday, 16th of July from 8.00am to 7.00pm (end of the Strolling Poster Session II)
  • Thursday, 17th of July from 8.00am to 1.00pm (end of the closing remarks)

EXHIBITION OPENING AND CLOSING HOURS

Tuesday,15 July – 8.30am – 7.30pm

Wednesday,16 July – 8.30am – 7.00pm

Thursday,17 July – 8.30am – 1.00pm

ADMISSION, ASSOCIATION & PATIENT VILLAGE

The participant’s name badges will be provided by the Organising Secretariat at the Registration Desk.

All participants are requested to wear the badge throughout the congress. Only badge holders will be admitted to the appropriate sessions, exhibition, and social events.

Registered participants, including patients and caregivers are welcome to visit the Association & Patient village located in Boulevard Auditorium Foyer and the patient programmes (B1 and B2 rooms)

ATTENDANCE CHECKS

Effective attendance is checked through badge scanning when going in and coming out of the plenary room. A minimum of 6 hours of effective attendance is required to issue the certificate of attendance.

The nearest carpark at the AEB is called the P10 Synthetic Playing Field (officially named: 14P Grey Zone 1472200)

Hourly Rate $2.70 AUD / Capped daily rate: $11.00 AUD
Persons With Disability (PWD) parking
There are two PWD parking areas near the AEB which can be found below:

You must clearly display the permit so the permit number and expiry date are visible from outside the vehicle.
Who can use it? Anyone displaying an Australian or red disability parking permit can park for free.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

The certificate of attendance will be downloadable from the website https://www.world-bronchiectasis-conference.org/2025/
Using your personal credentials sent by e-mail, starting from 21st of July, 2025.
Important note: Certificate of attendance will be delivered only to registered participants who attend at least 6 hours of congress sessions.

CLOAKROOM

A Cloakroom will be at disposal for participants at both congress venues. Delegates are kindly requested not to leave their personal belongings after closing times of the registration desk.

CME ACCREDITATION

ACRRM CPD
The 8th World Bronchiectasis Conference has been accredited by The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) for 25 Educational CPD hours and 1.75 Performance Review CPD Hours.

All costs are in United States Dollars (USD)
Credit / Debit Card payments will be accepted at the venues.

DRESS CODE

Dress will be informal throughout the Congress.
The Organising Secretariat reserves the right to refuse access when deemed necessary for the comfort and safety of all delegates.

INSURANCE

The congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to congress participants, either during or because of the congress. Registration does not include insurance. It is strongly recommended that you take an insurance policy of your choice as you register for the congress and book your travel.

LANGUAGE

The official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation is provided.

MEALS

Coffee Breaks and Lunches as noted on the programme: https://www.world-bronchiectasis-conference.org/2025/?page_id=449  will be served to participants at the Boulevard Foyer – Exhibition Area.

LIVE STREAMING AND ON DEMAND CONTENTS

The WBC 2025 plenary sessions, Basic Science and the Nursing & Allied Health Parallel Track will be live-streamed on the conference website, accessible to registered participants.
All recordings including the parallel tracks will be available on-demand shortly after each day the conference has concluded on.

SOCIAL MEDIA

We encourage delegates to use social media to join the conversation around the conference, to share and debate topics with those not in attendance, at #WBConf25. Delegates should respect content confidentiality, especially where this is made explicit by the speaker. Social media should be used in a responsible manner, and please be respectful to speakers and other participants.

WI-FI AND MOBILE PHONES

Free Wi-Fi will be available to all congress participants at both congress venues. Please visit the registration desk for more information on how to access the Wi-Fi.
Mobile phones should remain on silent whilst in the plenary room. Phone calls should be made outside and away from the doors.
